Chapter 62: Chapter 62 – Games Choice

He arrived at his apartment after an hour. He took time to get some refreshing drink on the way and looked around the area to enjoy the city view.

"Phew… That was a bit tiring."

Thud–

Arriving at his house, Max immediately put his bag down and lay on his bed. It was midday; the sun was straight on top of his head earlier. His body was drenched with sweat as a result.

He didn\'t change his clothes immediately and opened a hologram screen inside. It was filled with notes that he recorded from StoneSword\'s explanation earlier as well as game recommendations for him.

"Still… StoneSword is too kind. He gave me a lot of recommendations. There is no way I can play them all."

There were a total of 6 games that StoneSword recommended. All of them had different genres, from action fantasy, survival, dating sims, and horror to even FPS. It made Max a bit hesitant to choose.

"V-Shelter Survival, Return of Lycan, The Fabled Door, Bikes Are Girls, Traditional Warfare, or Breaking Havoc, huh?"

Some games were released way back but were still popular and had stable viewers count in Punch. Among them, 3 were online games, and 3 were offline.

Max had already promised to play an online game next, so he quickly crossed the three games: Bikes Are Girls, Return of Lycan, and The Fabled Door. He was left with the other three.

"Survival, FPS, and roleplay games are left. All of them are difficult choices." He mused loudly as he sat up.

His hand stroked his chin, thinking deeply. He knew these games from the integrated memories from his transmigration, and he had to admit he quite liked these three.

V-Shelter Survival, just as its name implied, was a survival game revolving around looting and making a base called \'shelter\' in a certain city. Many players could join a lobby at once, and it could be played by up to 100 players in one server.

The premise was like a battle royale, but those with the highest point counted from the shelter won. Obviously, players could raid other shelters and form teams. That was the whole point of this survival game.

It also had a solo mode that only focused on looting and building bases. The threat in this mode was NPCs that guarded the looting area and sometimes could raid a player\'s base. Sometimes, even infected zombies showed up, and they often harassed players.

Traditional Warfare was an FPS game with a setting in the past. It was said the game\'s setting was in the past. However, the guns were very modern for Max, looking at how this world was already in the future compared to Earth. He was familiar with them.

Then there was Breaking Havoc. It was a roleplaying game with an open-world model. The game revolved around daily life.

Players were free to do anything they wanted, from being a cop or even a criminal. This game was popular among those who loved roleplay, and they took their role seriously.

"Hmm, I wanted to play V-Shelter Survival or Traditional Warfare. But I wonder which one is more fun?"

For a streamer, Max was rather strange. He believed that if he didn\'t have fun, then the viewers would also feel the same. That was why his priority when choosing the game was for it to be \'fun\' or it wouldn\'t do.

And yet, it was what troubled him.

Both games he mentioned sounded fun. At least more than Breaking Havoc. He knew that he probably wouldn\'t really enjoy roleplay right now.

Not before he genuinely wanted to do it.

\'I guess I will leave that to my viewers. Today\'s stream will be a chat only to answer my viewers\' questions. I believe they are curious about the announcement earlier.\'

Nothing to worry about. As long as he had fun with his viewers, all was well.

Inside an empty restaurant, Nina sighed tiredly. The rush hour for lunch was over, and she could finally rest.

Appearing from inside was her father, dressed in a chef outfit. Chef Rush took off his top hat and looked at his daughter.

"You can go to your room first. No need to help me prepare for dinner."

"Are you sure, dad? Can you even wash the dishes without breaking the plates with your muscly hands?"

Nina looked at his father suspiciously. She helped the restaurant, although she was also busy preparing for next year\'s college entrance, because her father was a bit klutz at controlling his strength and broke many plates before.

It never crossed her mind to leave cleaning the dishes to him anymore after that.

Getting an unexpected jab from his daughter, Chef Rush scratched his cheek in embarrassment.

"You can finish the dish later. There weren\'t too many dirty dishes."

"Right… The lunch rush wasn\'t as busy as in the past." Nina looked around the empty restaurant with a sad face, "I wonder if there was a new restaurant opening near us. Or maybe people are already tired of eating noodles."

"That doesn\'t matter." Chef Rush responded and turned around, "We can only do our best to serve the customers the best noodles I can make. That\'s it."

Watching her father walk inside again, Nina couldn\'t help but lower her gaze, "Is that truly the case?"

She knew that the sales had decreased for a few months already. If it went like this and the sales got lower than this, there was a risk that they would be in the red and couldn\'t even pay for their daily necessities.

\'Well, let\'s be optimistic! People may be just tired of eating noodles. Soon, they will return. Yes. Not everyone eats noodles every day like Max!\'

Thinking so, she took off her apron and went to her room on the second floor while giggling.

When reaching her room, she immediately operated her smartwatch and opened the news page. She missed today\'s morning news due to preparation, so she planned to read it as she had time to rest.

As a normal 19-year-old girl, she also had a favorite streamer that she followed. It was always her enjoyment reading about streamer-related news.

The segment usually talked about new rising stars, a drama or scandal, and a big streamer event. Today, the news seemed to be about a new event, Veteran and Newbie, Versus!

However… Nina saw an unexpected face standing beside the streamer that she followed the most, Flexy.

"Huh?"

At first, she didn\'t believe it and rubbed her eyes.

It must be a mistake.

She refreshed the page and looked at it again. The image didn\'t change.

"Huuuhh?!!!" She shouted in surprise as her eyes widened, "T-T-This is… Isn\'t he Max?!"

The name written under the image said \'Breeze,\' but Nina knew better. She wouldn\'t mistake her friends from childhood and the boy she met almost everyday for anyone else, no matter how much he had changed.

And so, she was certain.

"This is Max… Max has become a streamer!"
