Chapter 164: Chapter 164 – Shooting Done

The scene was about Max looking at Brian training before fading in. The friend left the Tag House and left him because he had training in the VR world.

It was an easy scene, and both of them only needed 3 takes to finish it. And after that was Max\'s solo scene. Brian had no more role, so he and his manager left the shooting area.

"We\'re going for a 30-minute break!" Director Hugo announced loudly, "Breeze, come here. There is something we need to talk about. Mark too, come here!"

Having been called, Max approached Director Hugo. The man called Mark, who wore a cap, also approached. He was the main cameraman and the one responsible for directing the others in the director\'s place.

When they got close, the director suddenly opened two screens in front of them.

"I am changing the third and last scene. Read them."

That was what he said before closing his eyes. The bearded man didn\'t seem to be willing to listen to anything.

"Haa… You\'re always like this, director." The cameraman, Mark, sighed and downloaded the new script.

Then, he looked at Max.

"Breeze, is it? Can you remember the new script while resting? Please do forgive our director. He probably saw potential in you and changed the script. The new one is probably the better script. Ask me anything if you don\'t understand something."

"Hahaha… Thank you." Max laughed dryly and downloaded the new script.

He glanced at the director for a second. The bearded man looked as if he was sleeping and would get angry if he was disturbed.

So, he quietly went to his resting area where Michael had been waiting while holding a bottle of energy drink and a towel.

"Are there any problems?" The temporary manager asked as he handed the towel to him.

Taking the towel, Max patted his face to wipe the sweat dripping down.

"There is no problem. But Director Hugo suddenly gave me a new script to memorize. According to the cameraman called Mark, he seemed to have changed his view of me. That\'s why he rewrote the script."

"Ah, I\'ve heard the rumor. Director Hugo liked to change the script to fit the actor. He always did this if he thought something was lacking." Michael said, "But that also means that he likes you. Isn\'t that good?"

"Likes? You mean acknowledge." Max chuckled, looking at the script. "But yeah, this one is better. He seemed to consider what I did at my first mistake and changed it to be more intense. I like it. Fewer messages and more action."

The last action was supposed to show his praise for the shoes that increased his skill. Then, he would shout something embarrassing to end the scene and jump from the air.

But this was different. The last scene was changed, with him happily clearing the obstacles and running out of the Tag House. The difference was simple, but that changed almost everything, including his personality.

\'From insecure to a master. It\'s exaggerating the shoes\' capability, but I guess I can accept this.\'

Thinking so, he turned to Michael, who operated a screen next to him.

"Michael, where are the shoes I need to wear for the last shoot?"

"Hmm? It\'s over there." Michael answered, looking at the box behind the chair. "Do you want to try it?"

"Yeah." He nodded, and his grin widened. "I am allowed to use the Tag House to record footage for my channel, so I thought I should try the obstacles before the third and last scene. I am supposed to be sweaty, and that\'s the perfect way to work on sweat."

He opened the box and found a pair of white shoes with blue lining lying inside. It had a thick sole, just like the one he saw in the design. His eyes squinted slightly at the bad design, but he changed his shoes nonetheless to get used to it.

When he wore it, it was unexpectedly comfortable. He tried to move around slightly and jumped, but there was no difference from his previous shoes, save for the hard soles and the cushion that was so soft that it bounced slightly.

\'I need to be careful when wearing it.\'

Following that, he set his action camera to imitate his point of view and walked to the obstacles under everyone\'s gaze. He ignored them and stretched his arms, standing in front of a scaffolding-like structure. An excited grin was plastered over his face.

Inhaling a long breath, he grabbed the red iron bar in front of him. Then, he suddenly climbed the structure and arrived at the top in just a few seconds. His movement was smooth and skillful.

He jumped to another obstacle and hung on a metal bar before muscling up, crouching like a hawk on the metal bar. His vantage vision was filled with all the obstacles and, unfortunately, the cameras on the side. But he trusted BloodSucker to edit them all, so there shouldn\'t be a problem.

So he just concentrated on his part, the parkour, and enjoyed it. Running across the ground, he vaulted over the obstacle and rolled.

Then, he looked for another obstacle to climb and followed a certain routine while occasionally looking back for the sake of the concept he had in mind.

\'It\'s fun!\'

On the side, the main cameraman, Mark, saw what Max did and was amazed. He instinctively took the camera and pointed it at him, who ran across the obstacle and jumped around to clear them easily. He took some kind of path, and sometimes, he looked back as if he was chased by something. chapter-source-MvLeMpYr

His run was not without any goal.

When Mark was mesmerized and could see the illusion of Max being chased by someone, he felt a touch on his shoulder.

"What is he doing?"

A rough voice belonging to Director Hugo rang. The bearded man suddenly stood beside the camera and looked at the streamer running across the obstacles like a free bird.

"My apologies, director. But I thought it would be a waste not to record this." Mark quickly made an excuse and prepared to get yelled at.

However, unexpectedly, Director Hugo didn\'t do that.

"No, it\'s okay. Keep recording. That boy asked whether he could record his part for a personal video, so give this record to him later. I will allow it."

"Is that okay, sir?"

"Yeah. It will also serve as a free promotion for the brand. Look at him. He properly wore the shoes because he knew about that, too. Just stop him right before we continue shooting. Also, we can use this footage if there is something missing.

Just keep recording."

"Yes, sir."

With that, Director Hugo patted Mark\'s shoulder again and returned to his seat. He looked at the streamer he looked down at for once and smirked.

\'This will be a good ad video.\'
