Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 123: The Exit

However, the room…gives him eerie and dangerous vibes, his instincts as a human screaming at him to turn back.

Thus, he decided to check out the third room first and if there was no exit in the third room, then he would go through the entire labyrinth again, carefully checking each area, before going inside the second room.

Hopefully, there would be an exit in the third room because he didn\'t want to go through the entire labyrinth again, or worse, go inside the second room.

\'Yeah…Fairly good plan…\' Shye muttered to himself as he walked towards the third room.

After half an hour of walking, he arrived in front of the third room, then, his eyes widened, almost popping out of their sockets as he looked inside.

Inside the third room was…Small hills of silver coins, A huge chest of unknown quality weapons, a chest of gemstones that seemed to be of higher quality compared to the lesser enchantment jade he got from the Jadepaw Grizzly\'s lair, and…An unusually wide coffin.

Although he\'s feeling a dangerous vibe coming from the third room, his instincts tell him that the threat inside this room is less dangerous compared to the second one.

Is it a high-level trap? Poisonous gas? A ridiculously strong creature? He didn\'t know.

He had to go in and carefully scour the room for an exit so he had no choice, if he wanted to leave this dastardly place, then he had to make some moves.

Shye carefully walked into the room, fully vigilant, not daring to walk too quickly for fear of triggering something he should not.

Surprisingly, there were no traps at all as he easily reached the treasures and the coffin without any problems.

In addition to this, the initial feeling of apprehension and danger was suddenly gone, making him think that it might only be an illusion created by the third room to ward off invaders.

Given this, Shye started to relax.

He carefully stored the hills of silver coins, the weapon chest, and the gemstone chest in the inventory of the system before looking around the dark room with a fluorescence crystal in hand.

\'Haaah…Still no exit…\' Shye sighed in dejection and slight despair.

These treasures would be worth nothing if he could not escape this labyrinth–or more accurately, a tomb of some sort since there was an odd wide coffin in the middle.

Depressed, Shye decided to open the coffin to glance at the corpse of the great adventurer who built this bullshit labyrinth.

Although he doesn\'t plan to disrespect the corpse, he at least wants to see who managed to build a place with an entrance but no exits.

He had been looking for the staircase entrance they found but even after scouring the entire labyrinth, there were no staircase exits.

After a few more moments, Shye pushed the cover of the coffin, attempting to open it.

Upon seeing what was inside, his eyes widened as tears welled up in the corners of his eyes, threatening to stream down his face at any moment.

Rays of sunlight unexpectedly appeared from the coffin, gently caressing his face with its warmth, giving him not only some much-needed vitamin D but also hope to live on.

\'The exit…So it was here…\' Shye muttered to himself as he gently wiped the tears streaming down his cheeks.

Although there were some sort of metal bars, defiantly refusing his exit to the outside world, upon appraisal, it was nothing he couldn\'t destroy. If he focused on destroying the metal bars, then in three days at most, he would be out of this gloomy place.

*CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG* *CLANG*

Shye eagerly started hacking and slashing at the metal bars with both of his greatswords, occasionally using some skills to speed up the process.

Finally…Finally…He could get out of this damned labyrinth!

\'Maia…Shirley…Wait a bit longer…\' Shye muttered to himself as he continued destroying the metal bars.

Unfortunately for him, things were never meant to be easy.

In contrast to the metal bar, standing in the way between the gloomy labyrinth and the lively outside world, the silence is what separates his fate of living from his fate of dying.

The loud clanging sound had dire consequences as a three-meter-tall wolf-like creature was startled awake by the jarring noise.

Shye overlooked the creature, originally responsible for the ominous atmosphere within the room, because of its unconventional sleeping location.

It was sleeping in a moderately huge cave located just above the entrance of the room.

Although it was a mystery how the cave was formed and how the creature managed to climb up, it was a fact that the creature was there, sleeping soundly before being startled awake by Shye who was enthusiastically destroying the metal bars.

The ears of the creature twitched, intently listening to where the loud noise was coming from.

After figuring out that the noise came from the metal bars, the creature took out its big glaive and jumped down from the cave, roaring loudly at Shye, the intruder.

*ROOOAAAR*

Shye almost jumped up in fright after hearing the sudden resounding roar of the exit\'s guardian as the pupils of his eyes constricted; the rays of sunlight revealing the creature in its entirety.

The creature looked like a massive kobold, its huge fangs threatening to tear him apart limb from limb.

It was slightly taller than the orc grunt, standing at three meters tall, dressed in a complete set of seemingly high-quality leather armor tailored for its kind, and armed with an enormous glaive, looking extremely ferocious and deadly.

Although its eyes seemed a bit cloudy and weird, this lone feature didn\'t prevent it from looking like it came straight out of someone\'s nightmare.

"What…the hell…is that…" Shye muttered to himself as his hands slightly shook in trepidation.

Fortunately, Shye managed to quickly reorganize his thoughts as he activated his most trusty skill, [Appraisal Lv.2].
