Flashy Adventurer System : Show Off to Get Stronger!

Chapter 151: Return of the “Kind-Hearted” Aella

But now, the exuberant crowd was looking at them like an actual contender, the haters becoming fewer and fewer as they blasted through the competition with straight 3-0 victories.

After a few minutes of walking, the Colzen representatives arrived at the designated arena for their third-round match.

"Tch…This Redwood Academy sure loves posturing. Do they think arriving late would make them seem stronger than us? Delusional shitheads…" Kiin muttered upon realizing that they still arrived first even though the arena assigned to them was very far from their academy station.

They didn\'t mind letting these fraudulent clowns make fools out of themselves though.

The more the Redwood representatives elevate their own statuses, the harder they fall when Shye and the others shit on their team.

While waiting, Shye and the others couldn\'t help but look at the foam-padded fancy wooden seats beside Intermediate Arena 2 and decided to make themselves comfortable.

This was the first time that Colzen was ever assigned to fight in an intermediate arena so the representatives couldn\'t help but feel proud that they were living up to the expectations of the deans and the students, even having a chance to surpass a top 8 finish.

It seems that they managed to attract the attention of the tournament organizers by officially getting recognized as a dark horse by the crowd.

Naturally, they plan to use this chance not only to further increase the reputation of Colzen Academy but also to build up a reputation for themselves as rookie professional adventurers.

The Valenzia Region\'s Adventurer Academy Competition was also considered as the scouting grounds of the various renowned adventurer guilds so they had to do their best not only for their academies but also for themselves.

If they manage to catch the attention of such renowned adventurer guilds, then they would be off to a blazing start as rookie adventurers.

Finally, after waiting for a while, a group of students wearing brown uniforms with crimson-colored short capes arrived at the ringside across theirs with vengeful looks on their faces.

Most of them were glaring towards Shye who simply looked at them with a nonchalant expression on his face.

He recognized the faces of these people and these are the same guys who visited their academy, with Aella and Roi looking the most vengeful out of everyone.

They were raring to settle the score with Shye.

In front of the group of students was a tough-looking warrior student with a scar on his left eye. His eye-catching hair was akin to scarlet grass, and his refined muscles told tales of discipline and maturity.

\'So that\'s their best representative who couldn\'t make it last time huh?\' Shye inwardly thought, slightly licking his lips as thoughts of having a banger match against the strongest representative of Redwood Academy flooded his mind.

"H-Hey g-guys…Can I…Fight that guy?" Shye looked at his teammates and said while stuttering in embarrassment, this was the second time that he chose to throw the plan out the window which was quite irresponsible as the strongest representative.

"Aiihh…Again? When will you ever stick to the plan?!" Kiin scowled.

Their plan was for Shye to participate in the third match, the two-on-two, to secure the most crucial round.

One of Ian\'s strengths is one-on-one duels against warriors and the guy\'s fighting style isn\'t suited for team fights so he was supposed to be the one to fight the strongest representative of Redwood Academy.

Just when Shye was reluctantly about to give up the chance to earn massive points, Ian spoke:

"I\'m okay with it. I want to teach that pretentious girl a lesson anyway so you can have that spiky-haired dude."

"Aiih this is why he\'s a–"

"Colzen Academy, in the first match, you\'re the ones who have to send out a fighter first. Please decide quickly or I have no choice but to give the first round to Redwood Academy."

Kiin\'s words were cut short as the referee walked closer to their seats and gave them a warning.

"Well, then, I\'m off!" Ian said as he quickly jumped up the stage without waiting for Kiin\'s reply.

"Aiih! Do what you want!" Kiin replied as he sat down, frustrated about the fact that their team had never once followed the plan. From the very first match, someone would always act selfishly and throw the plan out the window.

Meanwhile, Siegfried simply chuckled at Kiin\'s frustration and said:

"Now, now, don\'t worry too much, and let\'s enjoy ourselves"

"Tch…I give up, just do what you guys want!"

After Ian gracefully landed on the stage, a young woman who was deemed "second-best" in Redwood Academy stepped forth carrying a cerulean elemental staff.

As expected, it was Aella who fought first.

It is a standard strategy to send your second-best representative on the first match because not only would your academy be able to have a higher chance of winning the first match, but the representative would also be able to recover in time for the three-on-three or two-on-two match.

A really strong but versatile tactic.

After all, the strongest representative couldn\'t fight twice so the second-strongest would be the perfect one to do so.

Still, strong and versatile as it may be, the tactic had a drawback.

If the second-best representative lost the first match badly, then he/she couldn\'t fight again.

"Hmmph! Instead of acting humble and being a good role model to your lower classmen, you representatives from Colzen are simply way too arrogant! Let me humble you for the sake of your lowe–"

"Cut the crap, I don\'t care about anything you\'re saying, I sure don\'t care about being a good role model as well, just assume your battle stance and let\'s fight!" Ian said, rudely cutting Aella\'s words.

He absolutely abhorred pretentious people like her and couldn\'t stand listening to the bullshit that comes out of their mouths one bit.

Thus, with a cold smile on his face, Ian drew his flaming dagger and held it in a dagger grip as he assumed his battle stance.

\'Unfortunately for you, unlike Crowley, I don\'t like holding back against people like you…\'
