Chapter 2886 - Divine Wonderian Incursion

Xiaodao and the rest had studied everything about the wonderians in recent years and learned that it would be much harder to leave markers on star worlds than in empty space. Not to mention, the constantly shifting nature of the Xenoworld made it so that all the markers that were left would eventually expire. No doubt, Meng Ying had left markers on the Sun when the Dreamchild was defeated. Tianming had no way of knowing how many markers they’d left back then, but he had a rough idea now.

With Yin Chen\'s eyes located all over the Sun, there was no way any sizable army could evade its detection. According to it, there were up to a thousand locations on the Sun where wonderians had appeared in smaller numbers. As those markers could only be used to open smaller gates, there weren\'t that many enemies at the moment. In total, there were around three hundred thousand and counting.

Xiaodao and Tianming\'s rage boiled over when they learned about the wonderian incursion during their mission to wipe out wildbeasts. "Did they come all this way only to get killed?"

No matter when it was, Yin Chen was one of the ultimate weapons in Tianming\'s arsenal. "I\'ll let my grandfather take charge of the battle on the Sun. Uncle Changkong and Uncle Zhuojun are also helping him out. They’re leading the ships of the Swordgod Lin Clan to those locations for a first-wave bombardment. We\'ll see if we can take out their Xenoworld gates."

It was part of the contingencies they had drafted. The Xenoworld markers were fragile objects. Even without intentionally removing them, they would vanish if a xenostorm appeared in the Xenoworld.

"Meng Ying.... To think that you dared to send your troops straight to the Sun. Looks like you\'ve decided to fight to the death!" Meng Ying had initially come for some easy pickings, but he seemed to be fighting even harder than Shenxi Xingtian. It was a sign that Meng Ying and the wonderians would never leave the Sun in peace as long as they still existed!

Some five hundred thousand ships left the Sky Palace Formation and split up into thousands of units, each of them heading for a different marker. The Sun only had around seven hundred thousand astral gods in total.

"Now that the locations of their markers have been revealed, we have to wipe them out to stop even more wonderians from coming. Otherwise, the Sky Palace Formation will be threatened!" While the Sun didn\'t have that many astral gods, the wonderians didn\'t have their ships with them, either, so the gap in numbers could be made up for.

"However, many astral gods have brought sanctuary and ether-class cosmic artifacts, so they\'re able to easily take down sanctuary-class ships and below.... Which is most of our ships. And their divine wonders also have a similar function to divine astralship formations...." They couldn\'t afford to underestimate their enemies. Once more, they had found themselves at the crossroads of life and death. Lin Xiao led five hundred thousand astral gods to the front lines as the number of wonderians grew.

Once more, the Ninedragon Imperial Tomb let out a massive breath that wiped out tens of millions of wildbeasts. "At least half of the wildbeast wall is gone now!"

The result was far better than they had expected. The power of the infinitum-class ships caused countless wildbeasts to fall into terror. Even the ebons in Ebonopolis were shaking with fear.

Xiaodao reached out to Yi Daiyan with a transmission stone. With seething killing intent, he said, "The wonderians sent troops to the Sun. Currently, there’s more than half a million astral gods. We have to return to remove the Xenoworld markers, or else they\'ll send millions of them to the Sun\'s surface! Once that happens, we won\'t be able to fight!"

"Understood. I heard that you’ve done a lot to heavily damage the wildbeast wall. The ebons\' ability to launch a surprise attack using them has been greatly degraded. While Ebonopolis hasn\'t fallen yet, it’s still an acceptable result," Yi Daiyan said.

"Give me a straight answer. If we’re surrounded, how many ships and astral gods can you send to reinforce us?" Xiaodao asked. The reason they were so intent on wiping out the wildbeasts was so that it would free up Yi Daiyan\'s forces from having to defend their homes.

"Four and a half million is our limit. The remaining two million are stretched incredibly thin to defend the bases of the eleven regal clans. Considering the fact that the bloodline wisteria is still around, I\'ll be taking a huge risk."

That was a much larger number than Tianming and Xiaodao had expected. Yi Daiyan was truly pulling her weight, though it remained to be seen whether she would follow through on her word to the end. They didn\'t place blind trust in her either; they just knew that if the Sun fell, her army would be isolated and face even more trouble!

The wonderians must have set up even more markers on Ebonia, and Yi Daiyan didn\'t have Yin Chen and would thus be unable to suss them out. The wonderians were truly terrifying in that they could basically ignore astralguard formations once they got a foothold. Fortunately, their ships couldn\'t go through the Xenoworld that way, or they would be invincible.

Yi Daiyan did indeed have to worry about them. She was only strong on her own, while the regal clans were scattered all across Ebonia. There were also many weak and elderly. If they lost the war, the consequences would be so dire that billions would die at any given moment.

"Get ready!" After saying that, Xiaodao and Tianming turned their ships around and began drilling a hole back up to Ebonia\'s surface to return to the Sun. The three million ships that they had led underground belonged to the Infinitum Bodhimanda; before receiving Yi Daiyan\'s orders, they had no choice but to fly out of the subterranean world and regroup.
