Chapter 148: Florida Man Calls Cop as His Chicken Egg Hatches an Alien Spawn
Then there were the Class-B crates, which were a notch above, offering premium cuts only found in high-end restaurants, ideal for gourmet steaks and fine dining.
But it was the Class-A crates that had provided Felix with the true jackpot. Instead of raw meat, these crates rewarded him with \'Magical Creature Carcass Tickets,\' essentially golden tickets to summon whole carcasses of rare and magical creatures. With a 20% drop rate, Felix had accumulated a staggering 400 of these tickets, just sitting in his inventory, waiting to be used.
If he wanted, he could duplicate them endlessly, providing an infinite supply of food for his growing crowd of followers.
"C-Can we really have dragon meat?" Huchu asked, his voice filled with disbelief as he wiped the drool forming at the corners of his mouth.
For the beastmen, the idea of eating dragon meat was like a dream. Dragons were legendary, nearly impossible creatures to defeat, and consuming their flesh was believed to impart strength and prowess beyond measure. There was even an old legend among the beastfolk: If a male beastman presented dragon meat to a female, she would be unable to resist him.
Some elders even claimed that their massive harems were built after slaying a dragon and feasting on its flesh.
Huchu gulped as his eyes drifted toward a lamia in the crowd. She stood out—youthful, well-dressed, and unlike the others, she wasn\'t flaunting her body or leering suggestively. Her modesty and grace had captivated Huchu\'s heart. He wanted to impress her, to win her affection, and dragon meat might just be his ticket.
Felix followed Huchu\'s gaze, noticing the lamia as well. She stood slightly behind the group, her eyes locking with Felix\'s for a brief moment. She bit her lower lip and gave him a playful wink.
\'Err, no, thanks,\' Felix thought, quickly dismissing the suggestive gesture. He shook his head and turned his attention back to Huchu, who seemed blissfully unaware of the lamia\'s antics.
"It depends," Felix began. "If I use my precious resources, I could get you a whole dragon carcass. But let\'s start small. First, I\'ll deal with this food shortage."
Seeing Huchu\'s eagerness and innocence, Felix decided to throw the beastmen a bone—quite literally. He opened his inventory and hovered over the meat ticket icon. With a grin, he decided to demonstrate the power of these magical tickets for a bit of fun.
Pressing the icon, Felix activated one of the tickets.

DING
A radiant beam of light shot down from the heavens, illuminating Felix in a dazzling glow. The beastmen and lamias stared up, their eyes wide with awe and confusion.
Felix himself looked up and broke into a nervous sweat. He had completely forgotten about the dramatic summoning process. Quickly stepping out of the beam, he called out to the group.
"Uh, guys, I probably should have mentioned this earlier, but... you might want to step back. Like, right now. I think what\'s coming down is gonna be pretty big."
Huchu and the crowd scattered, quickly retreating from the ominous beacon of light.
Felix, realizing the sheer size of what was coming, hastily retreated about 100 meters, dragging Jiji along with him. The tension in the air thickened as a massive shadow appeared in the sky. Slowly but steadily, it grew larger, expanding until its vast size became clear.
Felix squinted upward, his heart racing as he gauged the object\'s size.
It seemed bigger than a football stadium.
"No way… CRAP! RUN!"
Felix took off in a full sprint, but his speed paled in comparison to the others, who had already vanished from the landing zone.
Sensing his lack of agility, Jiji quickly scooped him up in a princess carry and slithered away at breakneck speed, leaving Felix breathless.
*BOOM!*
The massive container crashed through the barrier of the flying island with a thunderous roar, deploying an enormous parachute just in time to soften its landing. It hit the ground near the Fate Plaza, shaking the earth beneath their feet.
Everyone stopped to watch as beacons of light shone down upon the metallic crate, automatically disassembling it and returning the parts to the sky in a spectacular display of technology.
What was left in the container was a sight to behold.
The colossal carcass of a one-kilometer-long snake-like dragon. Its cold body glistened under the sunlight. The dragon\'s pale eyes stared vacantly. Its green scales and white horns looked majestic yet eerie appearance. Cold, frosty air radiated from the corpse, chilling the area around it. Its whiskers, long and wispy, drooped lifelessly.
On top of its head, a gaping one-meter hole revealed the absence of its magic crystal, the brain cavity hollow. Its wings were also absent, but the traces of their existence were still attached to its body.
Felix stared at the dragon carcass in disbelief, but his attention quickly shifted upward as the disassembled crate parts were pulled back into space by the beacons. He sighed, shaking his head in frustration.
"Cheapskates! They could\'ve at least left the container behind—I\'d have used it to store more items!"
Jessica, ever practical, shrugged and offered an explanation.
<Your ancestors foresaw that you would\'ve stuffed the container into your system inventory to cheat the system. That\'s why they didn\'t leave it behind.>
"CHEAPSKATES!" Felix threw his hands up in exasperation, yelling at the sky. His fingers twitched, tempted to make an obscene gesture toward the heavens out of sheer frustration.
He forgot that Jiji was still carrying him like a baby. Fortunately, nobody but Jiji noticed it.
Jiji, still holding Felix, chuckled under her breath. "Master, yelling at the ancestors won\'t change anything."
Felix grumbled. "Yeah, yeah. But seriously, they could\'ve cut me some slack!"
"If you\'re angry, how about I help you quench that anger later," Jiji offered with a playful smirk.
Felix immediately paused, turning to study her face. Even with her ever-present blindfold, Jiji\'s graceful demeanor and delicate features were captivating, her beauty accentuated by the air of mystery she carried. Felix couldn\'t help but feel a rush of excitement. She was his, and only his.
"Okay, tonight as usual?"
"Understood, master." Jiji grinned. She leaned over and whispered, "How about the usual play? A baby play?"
"…"
Felix silently nodded while Jiji giggled.
Jiji gently set him down, allowing Felix to stand on his own feet. He walked toward the colossal rain dragon\'s carcass, curiosity and awe washing over him. Up close, the dragon bore a striking resemblance to a certain legendary Wish Dragon from an anime he once watched. He wondered, somewhat humorously, if someone had summoned seven magical orbs only to kill this dragon instead of making a wish.
As Felix inspected the body, Clover and the rest of the tribe returned to examine it as well. Their eyes gleamed with hunger and ambition as they marveled at the dragon\'s sheer size. The lamias slithered closer to the green, impenetrable scales, each one larger than their entire body and around five inches thick, making them a challenge to remove.
Huchu couldn\'t hide his hunger and fascination, running his hand over the durable scales as he measured them with his eyes. But soon, his excitement waned, and he let out a sigh.
"What a pity," Huchu lamented, shaking his head. "I doubt we could eat even a fraction of it. Most of the meat will probably go to waste."
Felix, intrigued, approached him. "Why do you say that?"
"We lack the tools and the means to preserve this much meat," Huchu explained. "Just removing the scales could take us a month, and that\'s without counting the work of dissecting the inner organs and bones. By then, the meat will have rotted."
While Huchu listed his concerns, Felix patted the enormous carcass, quietly activating his inventory system. Without a word, the entire colossal body disappeared into his inventory, taking up just one item slot. Felix then casually hit the "dissect" button, choosing to keep every usable part, including the innards.
The results filled his inventory to capacity, with over 300 slots occupied, each item stacked up to 999 units.
However, the excess parts overflowed, and a massive pile of dragon meat, scales, and... parasite eggs?… appeared in front of him. The eggs were about the size of chicken eggs, some of them visibly wiggling, hinting at the creatures inside.
"B-Brother…" Huchu stammered, pointing first at the now-empty space where the dragon had once lain and then at the pile of meat and strange eggs in front of Felix.
*CRACK!*
One of the eggs suddenly hatched, and a slimy, worm-like creature emerged. Its mouth opened wide, revealing rows of small, razor-sharp fangs. The sight sent a shiver down Felix\'s spine.
"Ew," Felix recoiled, "Brother, ewwww! What\'s that? WHAT\'S THAT BRUTHER! It looks like an alien!"
