Chapter 805: It's Gonna Blow
I guess the only \'highlight\' I had was that Aeta actually came to apologise to me and paid me back for the meal she had promised to pay for but ended up running away from.
Delmare was obviously a little disappointed to learn that Aeta did apologise to me since it meant that she couldn\'t ruin her business afterwards but I felt that was the best outcome anyway.
It might have been a form of ironic justice for our side but I think it would have invited more trouble than it\'s worth.
Still, I let her hold a private concert for me that night before I slept with her which seemed to satisfy her.
The other \'interesting\' thing was that Haddock and his gang of followers were glaring at me throughout the whole lesson yesterday.
I guess they were still holding a grudge against me for what they perceived as making Odeta stand up for me and kicking their asses or something.
At least they stayed away from us so nothing happened.
Right now, I\'m attending Lisa\'s class again and Bracca\'s absence was something that everyone noticed.
A few of my classmates looked in my direction, correctly assuming that I had something to do with his absence but I wasn\'t going to deny or affirm that.
Thus, I pretended I was busy with my potions and ignored them.
Lisa helped me out by smacking the ones who hadn\'t been paying attention on their heads, prompting everyone else to turn back to concentrate on their alchemy stations instead of looking at me lest they get smacked as well.
Lisa then came over to me and I could sense her standing behind me while I was making my potion.
I wasn\'t too worried about her and simply focused on my work, finishing up the last batch of potions that we were tasked to do this lesson.
I then felt Lisa take a step forward to hug me from behind, her breath in my ear while her hands roamed around my body.
One of her hands squeezed my boob while the other one snaked underneath my skirt to rub my crotch.
"Ahhhn~ I missed this, Aster~" She moaned in my ear.
I managed to stop myself from rolling my eyes, "Really? We literally just had sex last night…"
"But doing this at the back of the class makes it feel immoral and exciting, don\'t you think?"
I will have to admit that it does feel that way but I wasn\'t going to say it out loud.
"So what are you doing back here?" I asked, trying to ignore the fact that Lisa was still busy groping me.
"Ehehehe~ Can\'t I just be here because I missed you?"
"Lisa, I love you enough to know that the way you\'re touching me means that there\'s something that you want from me. If you really just wanted to touch me, you would do it differently."
"Oh~ That\'s hot, Aster. Ehehehe~"
"So is there something you want to ask me?"
"Ehehehe~ I just wanted to let you know that we\'re dealing with the rumours that the Bracca had been spreading around the past few days~"
I turned to look at her, "Wait, what? I didn\'t even know you were doing that… Why though?"
"Hmm? What do you mean \'why\' Aster? Did you think we would let false rumours like that spread around without doing anything about it?"
"I mean… With Bracca gone, this problem should solve itself naturally right?"
Lisa nuzzled my neck, "Oh Aster… You\'re so cute~"
Not sure why she said that but ok? I think you\'re cute too.
She then planted a kiss on my cheek before separating from me, taking a moment to straighten herself before she sauntered off.
Huh… She didn\'t answer my question about the rumours solving itself…
Oh whatever, I\'ll just ask her again after class or something… I bet she\'s going to ask me to stay back after class so that we can have sex again…
I started to clean up my station when the windows of the classroom that had been purposefully left open suddenly slammed shut.
The sound caused everyone inside the class to jump in surprise at the unexpected sound before turning to Lisa, wondering if she was the one who activated the window shutters.
The frown on her face showed that she was clearly not the one who activated the shutters and she went over to her desk to try and open the shutters back up.
But no matter how she tried, the shutters seemed to remain shut.
Ok… This is worrying… It can\'t be a malfunction, right? Or did someone sabotage the windows? If they did, why?
I placed my potion bottles aside and went towards Lisa, wondering if I would be able to help her.
"What\'s wrong with it?" I asked.
She turned to me, careful in making sure that she was acting as the strict teacher instead of my lover.
"Aster… It seems like the window shutters are broken…"
Hmm… That\'s not good since we need to ventilate this place in case of an accident so if the shutters are broken, it would not be a good idea to continue our potion making…
"Should we evacuate?" I suggested.
Lisa did not hesitate to nod at my suggestion, "Agreed. Everyone, stop whatever you\'re doing and move outside the class now."
My classmates, who had been taught what to do in such a situation by Lisa from the very first lesson, quickly doused the fires underneath their cauldrons before moving towards the exit. Visit m,v le,mpyr today
But when the first student tried to open the door…
"Pro… Professor Lisa? The door is locked…"
Lisa furrowed her brows and marched towards the door, twisting the handle a few times to find that the door was indeed locked.
She tried to unlock it and her frown deepened when she realised that no matter what she did, the door remained stuck.
Lisa turned back to look at me, worry clear in her eyes.
I was just about to try breaking down the door when I heard one of my classmates mutter, "What\'s this?"
I turned back and saw a boy holding something that I have seen before in games, movies and videos but never in real life.
That\'s a bomb…
More specifically, it was a plastic explosive… With a time detonator…
What the hell?!
"Where did you find that?!" I cried out, a little louder than I intended.
The boy jumped a little in surprise and pointed at the desk that Bracca used to occupy, "I… I heard a weird noise coming from there… Should I not have touched it?"
I took the bomb from him before rushing towards the desk. Sure enough, there was a faint beeping sound that came from the timer that was attached to the bomb.
I pulled out the drawers and sure enough, there were even more bombs inside and it seemed like the whole table was filled with them.
For some reason, all of them were set to blow up at different timings and the one in my hand was set to blow up in two minutes. Another one inside the table had a timer that read three minutes and the one beside it read a minute and fifty seconds.
There was not even a need to guess who was responsible for this since the culprit was obvious to me. That leader of the cult was definitely the one behind this.
"What is that thing, Aster?" Lisa asked in concern.
I hesitated for a moment, wondering if I should just tell her as it might start a panic amongst my classmates.
Deciding it was better to be safe, I gestured her over and whispered into her ear that these were bombs.
Her eyes widened and she looked towards the rest of my classmates before turning back to me, "Can you deal with this?"
I thought for a second and nodded.
Lisa immediately turned to my classmates, "Everyone, move to the back of the classroom! Bracca has left some really dangerous materials that he didn\'t dispose of properly! Aster and I will deal with this before they blow up! Hurry!!"
Oh, nice thinking, Lisa!
My classmates panicked a little but most of them still managed to remain calm as they did as Lisa ordered, all of them gathering at the back of the class.
Just to be safe, I used my Lumenmancy to create a giant shield of light around my classmates which served as an extra layer of protection while also serving as a wall to hide what I was about to do from them.
I quickly summoned my Shadow Guards and instructed them to search through the entire class to look for more bombs, just in case that bastard planted more of them elsewhere.
As for the bombs in Bracca\'s table… I just needed to cover the table with a magic shield and let them blow up inside the shield and that should be fine.
Here goes nothing!
