Reincarnation of the Strongest Healer

Chapter 246: Ruined

However, now it was all ruined because Xu Feng decided to bring the matter to light, and not use a lid to cover the incident.

To simplify, Xu Feng was creating a path of no return in which only he or the culprit behind this would be put to justice.

He was playing with fire, and with one wrong move, Xu Feng would burn himself completely.

Nevertheless, she still found it baffling at the immense change that he had undergone.

\'Back then, he was just impulsive and rash, never thinking about the consequences. But now he\'s gotten even more unruly.\' Zhao Xin sighed softly.

There was one more thing she hadn\'t mentioned to Zhao Kai, and it was the fact that he was directing everyone\'s attention toward him.

Others might not be able to detect it, but once they give the matter a few thoughts.

They would realize the supposed accused was both Zhao Kai and Xu Feng, but they were only focusing on the latter.

"Sigh, I should defuse this before it continues to escalate." Zhao Xin mumbled. As much as she wanted to know who the culprit was, it was not the right time.

Since she was placed as the host and in charge of this birthday party, she couldn\'t afford to spoil her grandfather\'s mood.

Walking forward, Zhao Xin clapped her hands to get the crowd\'s attention.

"Alright, I suppose this is enough." She announced softly, before turning her attention to the guards.

"The problems here are caused by these guards, so I shall have someone detain them and give an answer to everyone else tomorrow. Let\'s not spoil the main event as my grandfather should be almost finished discussing with everyone else elders."

Without further ado, the nearby guards quickly detained them, not giving them a chance to defend or struggle. They were swiftly brought away, their fate unknown.

Meanwhile, Hans Pang and the crowd went silent after Zhao Xin brought up one topic.

Hans Pang was a veteran elder, but he still wasn\'t the highest authority person.

Instead, it was technically their ancestor, Hans Ruoyan, who was currently discussing things with Zhao Gaofu and many others of the same seniority.

"Since Miss Xin has said so, then let the matter rest." Hans Pang softly said.

"In the end, it\'s just a bunch of youngsters making a mess and spoiling the mood." While saying that, his eyes were unexpectedly not glaring at Xu Feng, but at Hans Zhou.

Hans Zhou shuddered in fear, knowing that he was definitely going to be grounded and punished severely once they returned.

Lang Shan was more or less the same, having seen his elders\' not-so-friendly look at him. He thought he had escaped safely by being quiet and discreet, but it was clear that was just a fool\'s dream.

As for Xu Feng, he knew pursuing the matter was no longer viable.

\'It\'s a pity, but at least, these people should know Kai and I are not easy to handle.\' He thought, nodding his head and agreeing with Zhao Xin\'s arrangement, knowing fully well she was giving him a way out.

Subsequently, everyone began returning to the venue, waiting for the party to officially begin.

"Let\'s go, Feng." Zhao Kai waved his hand, clearly wanting Xu Feng to hurry to his rescue.

However, Xu Feng shook his head and signaled for Zhao Kai to be alone with his sister for now.

After all, he was sure Zhao Xin would remind and warn Zhao Kai of the hidden danger. Not to mention, Xu Feng needed to thank someone for their help, even though he really didn\'t require it.

"Miss Zhang, thanks for speaking up for me earlier." He turned to her and gave his sincere appreciation.

"Hmph, this is just a small matter. I merely found it hateful that people are prone to conclusions without sufficient evidence." Zhang Jingyi shrugged her shoulders, but inwardly, she was laughing in joy.

\'Heh, now you\'re thanking me? But too late, I\'m not interested in you either.\' She thought, ignoring Xu Feng and entering the venue, clearly satisfied.

It was just a shame that she was overthinking things.

Xu Feng was merely appreciative of her action, but not overly grateful. Grateful was a term that could only be used if he was in a predicament without a solution.

With him being the only one left outside, Xu Feng hovered his smartwatch close to him. "Vera, analyze all the videos you saved in the recording and compile them."

"Understood, Master Lin Feng. The video compilation will be done in around 20 minutes."

Once he received a notice of the time, Xu Feng narrowed his eyes. \'Since I unexpectedly joined Kai, I became a target too. Let\'s see who ends up being prey later on.\'

Shortly after Xu Feng returned to the venue inside, Zhao Gaofu came downstairs merrily along with many other people similar to his age.

"Grandfather," Zhao Xin smiled happily as she greeted him.

"Hehe, my granddaughter is looking more beautiful than ever." Zhao Gaofu\'s initial stoic expression instantly turned to a bright smile upon seeing her.

"Tsk, what a bootlicker." Zhao Heng, the second eldest brother of Zhao Xin snickered coldly. His neck still had a little mark similar to a lipstick and it emitted a perfume fragrance.

"A bootlicker is better than having a woman giving you some pleasure with no substance." Zhao Ming commented, clearly noticing the lipstick mark.

He disappeared throughout the duration of the commotion outside, and only barely returned to the venue in time for their grandfather\'s arrival.

Also, from afar, he also noticed a somewhat beautiful woman walking in a limpy manner, her face flushed with redness. Additionally, her lipstick was somewhat stained. Even a fool could tell what these two were doing.

"I know bootlicking grandfather is helpless so I might as well enjoy a good pleasure." Zhao Heng chuckled.

He then subtly walked close to him and asked in a barely audible tone, "Also, did you tell the guards to frame that illegitimate brother of ours and his friend?"
