Chapter 148 Gluttony Arrives
He quickly welcomed them in and introduced them to his family.
Arthur\'s family and Adam\'s family didn\'t need an introduction, they were neighbours anyway.
Not much after them Jackson, and Jack arrived in a Porsche 911.
The cars near the teahouse had already started amassing a large number of onlookers, the teahouse was clearly not ordinary.
"Hey, do you know what\'s happening there?" a man asked a woman nearby.
"I think there is a teahouse opening here," she replied, with some hesitation.
"A teahouse? The owner has quite the connections." The man muttered as he looked at the luxurious cars.
"Do you guys want to sit inside or outside?" Noah asked them, with a smile on his face.
"I prefer outside, to be honest," Adam replied.
"Same thing here," nodded Arthur.
Noah nodded, and quickly brought out a table and chairs for everyone.
"Hey isn\'t this guy a bit too strong? the tables and chairs are made out of wood." an onlooker said with a shocked expression.
"Yeah, that\'s what I was thinking. He is holding many at the same time too," He said.
As Noah finished setting up the tables and chairs, his father, David, stood up and patted him on the shoulder.
"Son, sit down. I\'ll go brew some tea for everyone."
Noah grinned, nodding as he took his seat. "You\'re all about to taste the best tea you\'ve ever had."
"My dad is the reason why I decided to open up this teahouse, he is a master at brewing."
Arthur and Adam exchanged amused glances, chuckling.
"Well, we\'re thankful, then," Arthur replied, leaning back as if settling in for a treat.
Meanwhile, a familiar figure appeared within the gathering crowd.
Aiden gave a quick nod in Noah\'s direction.
He kept his distance, though, clearly a bit intimidated by the famous guests and Lily, the school\'s beauty.
Inwardly, Aiden fumed, shaking his head.
"Noah, you sly dog. Keeping your connection to Lily a secret all this time, huh?"
"Fine, I\'ll have some words with you later."
As his gaze shifted, his eyes suddenly widened.
"Wait a second… who… who is that?"
Aiden\'s jaw dropped as his eyes locked on Amelia.
Her elegant sunglasses shielded her eyes, but her beauty and subtle charm radiated so powerfully that he found himself muttering out loud.
"Oh my god… who is this woman?"
One of the nearby onlookers turned at his remark, raising an eyebrow at his starstruck expression. Meanwhile, Aiden was oblivious to anyone noticing him.
"Noah, you absolute traitor,"
he thought, gritting his teeth. "
Keeping all the beauties to yourself?"
"You want to eat without letting the rest of us eat, huh?" Shaking his head, he composed himself, pulling out a chair and quickly setting up his camera.
He angled it perfectly, capturing both the teahouse and the row of luxury cars parked out front.
He knew just how to entice his followers now, especially after Noah\'s cinematography advice.
He positioned the camera at the perfect angle to make the scene look like a movie set. Checking the shot, he tapped "Play" on the stream, then settled into his role.
He unpacked his bag, which held no fewer than ten oversized burgers and arranged them in front of him like a feast.
He would act utterly indifferent to the high-class gathering around him. It was his signature move — "Gluttony" was his name, after all.
Several people began to chuckle, recognizing him.
"Hey, isn\'t that \'Gluttony\'? What\'s he doing here?"
"Oh, man, I\'m going to be in his video! Watch him pretend like nothing\'s going on, even if an earthquake hits," another laughed with his friends.
Aiden took a giant bite, chewing with exaggerated indifference as his camera continued to roll, ignoring everything around him.
His eyes barely registered anything behind him or so it seemed.
Just as he was leaning back for another bite, a new smell filled the air completely dominating the burgers, and stopping him mid-chew.
His nostrils flared.
He looked around, dazed, as the fragrance grew stronger, curling like a hypnotic tendril of steam into his nose.
"What is that smell?" murmured one of the onlookers, glancing at David, who was pouring tea for the guests.
"It has to be the tea! It smells… incredible," another remarked, his eyes wide with surprise.
Aiden, meanwhile, felt his resolve crumbling.
He set his burger down, hands slack as he gazed in the direction of the tea, eyes half-glazed.
His intention to play it cool melted away, replaced by an almost supernatural draw toward the tea.
"Damn it, control yourself Aiden. You can\'t break character." He thought.
"Shit! I don\'t even like tea, what the hell!" He reasoned with himself, but it failed.
The smell was too enticing, he found himself moving forward in a trance-like state, his expression that of a zombie.
"Noah…" he muttered in a low, otherworldly tone, "Tea…"
Noah burst out laughing, shaking his head. "Aiden, what are you doing?"
"Tea…" Aiden repeated, his voice robotic as he shuffled forward like a zombie toward the table.
"Alright, alright," Noah laughed, giving in and pouring him a cup.
Lily and Amelia chuckled at what was happening, whilst Adam and Arthur had amused looks.
"I can\'t blame him, the tea is too good." Adam chuckled, as the smell invaded his nostrils.
Back at his camera, Aiden tasted the tea, his lips curled into an almost euphoric smile, completely ignoring the piled burgers in front of him.
With each sip, his eyebrows lifted, his gaze unfocused as if he was transported to a different world.
"He actually broke character… for tea? What kind of otherworldly brew is this?" one of his fans muttered, still trying to process what they\'d witnessed.
"He didn\'t even ignore his surroundings this time!" another muttered, his eyes wide with shock.
"I have to try it!" a fan declared, inching closer to catch another whiff of the fragrant steam curling from David\'s teapot.
"Me too," murmured a woman nearby, tilting her head as she inhaled, closing her eyes in delight at the lingering aroma.
After finishing the tea, he realised he had broken his character, Aiden snapped back into his role, returning to his camera with a casual nod as if nothing had happened and started munching on the burgers.
