Chapter 261 So You Finally Remembered About Us?
"I\'m home," he said, taking a few steps closer to them. "What are you both doing?"
Neither of his sisters answered him right away and just ignored him. Layla kept typing away on her keyboard while Kiera stared down at her phone screen with a bored expression.
When it seemed they weren\'t going to answer him anytime soon, Lucifer decided not to waste more time waiting and headed out of the bedroom. He didn\'t plan to play games with them.
As soon as he crossed the threshold, though, Layla called out to him without even turning around to look at him. "So you finally remembered about us? Or are you here just because you want to gloat and show off your new girlfriend?"
Her voice dripped with sarcasm and anger. Lucifer paused in mid-stride and turned back toward them, wondering if he heard correctly. "Wait... what?"
"Yeah, I guess you\'re right, sis!" Kiera chimed in with a nod before adding in an icy tone. "We should be grateful he\'s even here right now. He\'s too busy playing the big man with his new girlfriend to bother spending any time with us. Don\'t mind him."
"What are you two talking about?" Lucifer raised an eyebrow at them as he noticed their resentful attitude. It was clear that something happened while he\'d been away, but he had no clue what it could have been.
He sat down next to Kiera on the bed and reached out to hold her hand, but she swatted it aside and glared daggers at him. Then Layla spoke again. "Don\'t pretend you don\'t know. You have been spending almost all your time with Vanessa lately, and today she posted this picture of herself wearing only a bathrobe with you standing next to her without a shirt. And the worst part is she left a caption with it: \'Having the time of my life with the most amazing guy ever.\' So it seems like you\'re fine with your girlfriend rubbing her relationship in everyone else\'s faces, huh? While we must sit here and endure it." There was no mistaking the bitterness in her tone now as she stared at him.
Now Lucifer understood everything. So this was all about jealousy over something they couldn\'t do. They didn\'t like seeing another girl getting closer to him and sharing intimate moments with him while they were kept in the dark. It had nothing to do with Vanessa herself since neither sister ever complained about his girlfriends before. Instead, it seemed that both of them wanted to show off their own relationships publicly just like Vanessa did in that photo where he appeared shirtless and confident.
Lucifer let out an exasperated sigh as he rubbed his temples in annoyance. Dealing with women\'s issues was never easy, especially when it involved jealousy.
However, before he could say anything else, Kiera spoke again, sounding equally upset as Layla. "You know... We already agreed to keep our relationships a secret from everyone because you said it would bring too much trouble if anyone found out about us, but seeing Vanessa acting so freely like this makes us feel bad and annoyed. She doesn\'t have to hide anything or worry about being judged for her actions. It seems unfair that she gets to enjoy your love without having to care about anything else, while we can\'t even tell anyone about our relationship with you."
Lucifer remained quiet for a moment as he considered what Kiera had told him.
His two sisters were right; they shouldn\'t be forced into secrecy just because he didn\'t want anyone to discover the truth of their relationship. If his girlfriends were free to express themselves however they wished, why shouldn\'t his own sisters have the same privilege?
A small smile spread across his face when he thought of something that might cheer them up. "You know what? I think you\'re both right. We shouldn\'t hide anymore. If you really want it, then we can announce our relationship to the public. It doesn\'t matter if there\'s trouble afterward. As long as you\'re happy, I\'ll deal with it."
The sudden shift in his attitude caught both girls off guard, but Layla was quick to react and stood up from her chair to approach Lucifer and look directly into his eyes.
"Do you mean it? You\'ll let us tell everyone about us?"
"Of course," Lucifer said without hesitation. "You\'re both important to me, and if hiding our relationship causes you so much pain, then there\'s no reason to do it. We\'ll announce it whenever you wish. Just say the word, and we\'ll do it."
Layla threw herself into his arms and wrapped hers around his neck, hugging him with great force before pulling away to give him a passionate kiss on the lips.
When they broke apart after a few moments of intense kissing, she flashed a radiant smile at Lucifer and whispered in his ear, "I knew my brother was an amazing man. Thank you! But we won\'t do anything like that... at least for now. I\'m happy just knowing you\'re willing to do it for our sake."
Kiera joined them and added her own warm hug as well, pressing her breasts against Lucifer\'s body and planting soft kisses all over his face.
"Hehehe... I knew you were the best brother ever! You didn\'t even try to argue with us and instead accepted our feelings right away. I love you so much!"
"Hmmm... I remember someone who swatted my hand away not too long ago," Lucifer quipped, recalling how Kiera had acted coldly toward him earlier when he first tried to touch her. "I wonder who that could\'ve been...?"
"Oh, come on! Don\'t be a meanie! You know it takes me time to cool down after getting angry!" Kiera retorted with a playful pout before continuing. "But I still want to show off to the entire world that we\'re close siblings who love each other very much, even if we can\'t announce our relationship yet. Can we take a picture like that one Vanessa posted?"
