Sanctuary: Safe Haven

Chapter 196 Clash of Titans I

As he descended, the air around him grew colder, and the ground trembled beneath his immense presence.

Across from him stood Garn Bloodclaw, one of Grakthar\'s most feared generals. Garn was a monstrous orc, towering over his kin, with thick, scarred muscles that bulged beneath his green skin. His face was twisted into a permanent sneer, his yellow eyes burning with bloodlust. In his massive hands, he wielded a colossal warhammer, its surface etched with ancient runes that glowed a sinister red.

Garn\'s reputation as a brutal and unyielding warrior was well-deserved—he had crushed countless enemies under his hammer and relished every moment of it.

The two titans eyed each other, their immense power evident even to those far away. The battlefield seemed to hold its breath, the storm itself pausing as if to witness the epic clash that was about to unfold.

Garn was the first to move. With a roar that shook the earth, he charged forward, his warhammer raised high. Each step he took left a crater in the ground, his massive frame barreling toward Lumivyre with terrifying speed. The Celestial Serpent watched calmly, his twin heads moving in perfect unison as he gauged his opponent\'s approach.

As Garn closed the distance, Lumivyre\'s scales began to glow brighter, pulsing with an otherworldly energy. Just as Garn swung his warhammer in a powerful downward arc, Lumivyre activated Gravity Manipulation. The gravitational force around Garn doubled, then tripled, slamming him into the ground mid-charge.

The warhammer missed its mark, crashing into the mud with a deafening thud, sending a shockwave through the earth.

Garn growled in frustration, struggling against the immense weight pressing down on him. His muscles bulged as he fought to stand, his eyes blazing with fury. Lumivyre did not give him a moment to recover. One of his heads reared back, and a brilliant light began to form in its mouth.

In an instant, a blinding Celestial Beam shot forth, a concentrated line of pure cosmic energy that cut through the air toward Garn.

The beam struck with tremendous force, searing through the orc\'s armor and burning deep into his flesh. Garn let out a pained roar, his body convulsing as the energy coursed through him. But he was no ordinary orc; his resilience was legendary. He gritted his teeth, forcing himself to stand despite the gravitational force and the burning pain.n/ô/vel/b//jn dot c//om

With a savage roar, Garn tore himself free from the invisible chains of gravity and swung his warhammer in a wide arc. The weapon glowed red, a dark aura surrounding it as he channeled his own brutal strength into a single devastating strike. The warhammer smashed into Lumivyre\'s side with a sickening crunch, sending the Celestial Serpent flying through the air.

Lumivyre\'s massive body crashed into the ground, carving a deep trench in the earth. But the serpent was far from defeated. As he slid to a stop, his scales shimmered, and his Stellar Regeneration kicked in. The wounds on his side began to heal almost immediately, cosmic energy knitting his flesh back together. Within seconds, he was back in the air, his two heads hissing in unison.

The battle was only just beginning.

Garn charged again, undeterred by Lumivyre\'s resilience. This time, the orc general leaped into the air, his warhammer raised above his head. As he descended, he brought the weapon down with a force that could split mountains, aiming for Lumivyre\'s head. But the Celestial Serpent was ready.

With a flick of his tail, Lumivyre invoked Nebula Veil, surrounding himself in a swirling cloud of cosmic dust and gas. The veil distorted the air around him, causing Garn\'s swing to miss by a hair\'s breadth. The orc general landed heavily on the ground, momentarily disoriented by the sudden shift in his surroundings.

Lumivyre saw his opportunity. One of his heads reared back again, and this time, he unleashed Meteor Shower. The sky above darkened, and then, like stars falling from the heavens, a barrage of flaming meteors rained down upon Garn. The orc roared in defiance, swinging his warhammer wildly in an attempt to deflect the incoming barrage, but there were too many.

Each meteor that struck sent out a shockwave of force, blasting the ground apart and throwing Garn back.

Yet, even under this relentless assault, Garn fought on. Bloodied but unbroken, he stood tall, his warhammer glowing brighter with every strike. He let out a deafening roar and swung his weapon in a wide arc, sending a shockwave that cleared the meteor storm for a brief moment. His eyes locked onto Lumivyre, filled with rage and determination.

Lumivyre could sense the shift in the battle. Garn was no ordinary foe; he was fueled by a strength born of fury and determination. The Celestial Serpent decided it was time to end this battle. Both of his heads reared back, his scales glowing brighter than ever. Cosmic energy began to build up around him, the air crackling with raw power.

Garn, sensing the impending attack, braced himself, planting his feet firmly in the ground. He raised his warhammer, channeling all his remaining strength into it. The weapon pulsed with a dark energy, its runes glowing an ominous red.

And then it happened.

With a deafening roar, Lumivyre unleashed Supernova. A massive explosion of cosmic energy erupted from his body, a blinding light that enveloped the entire battlefield. The force of the blast was unimaginable, a cataclysmic wave of energy that tore through everything in its path. The ground shook, the air itself seemed to scream, and for a moment, it felt as if the world was ending.

Garn stood his ground, his warhammer raised in a futile attempt to shield himself from the blast. But the power of the Supernova was too much. The wave of energy slammed into him, lifting him off his feet and sending him hurtling through the air like a ragdoll. He crashed into the ground far away, his body battered and broken, smoke rising from his charred flesh.

As the light faded and the dust settled, Lumivyre hovered above the battlefield, his form shimmering with the remnants of cosmic energy. He was exhausted, his MP completely drained, but he was victorious. The orcs around him stared in awe and fear, their morale shattered by the display of power.

Garn Bloodclaw lay motionless on the ground, his once fearsome presence reduced to a broken heap. Lumivyre watched him for a moment, his glowing eyes cold and unfeeling. Then, with a slow, deliberate motion, the Celestial Serpent turned away, his attention shifting to the rest of the battlefield.

The battle was far from over, but with the fall of Garn Bloodclaw, the Sanctuary\'s forces had gained a crucial advantage. The orcs were still many, and their resolve unyielding, but the loss of one of their strongest generals would weigh heavily on their minds and their hearts.

And Lumivyre, the Herald of the Cosmos, would continue to fight until the last of them fell.

The storm raged on, the battle continued, and the fate of the Sanctuary hung in the balance. The war was far from over, and both sides were prepared to fight to the very end.
