Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard

Chapter 300 - Fake Or Real

"Hello, honey. I\'m not coming home for lunch, because I have to accompany my client to lunch before she returns to her country," Dean said over the phone.

"Oh, that\'s okay. I just wanted to tell you that I was out of the house."

"Where to?" Dean asked, sounding a little panicked.

"I\'m going to Fin\'s aunt\'s house because she\'s sick. I want to visit her while giving money for her surgery. I hope you understand because after all, Fin has also helped me," Bryana explained carefully so that Dean wouldn\'t be angry.

"Are you alone with him?"

"No. I\'m also with Dany because after this Fin will stay at his aunt\'s house for a while. You don\'t worry... I\'ll be fine, and I\'ll only be for a while because Aidyn always needs me," Bryana explained.

"Well then, be careful and don\'t be too late when you return home. I\'ll turn off the phone first."

"Yes, I love you."

"I love you too."

The phone line was cut off. Bryana breathed a sigh of relief and immediately stowed her smartphone into a medium-sized white branded bag that matched the color of the clothes she\'d been wearing since this morning. It\'s just that she changed her hairstyle tying it in a ponytail to make it neat and not make her heated.

"Is your aunt\'s house still far, Fin?" Bryana asked, staring at Fin who was focused on driving while Dany remained silent with a flat gaze, enjoying the music that reverberated in the car as the MP3 played with Lana Del Rey\'s newest song, "Text book."

"Maybe in about 20 minutes we\'ll be there, ma\'am," Fin replied casually as if he had an aunt who was sick. What is he going to do? Is it true that he has a sick aunt? Or planning an attack, kidnapping? what is certain is that Bryana is not safe!

Bryana nodded in understanding then leaned her shoulder on the seat. She chose to silently stare at the view from the glass of her luxury car.

At the office, Alex had just finished having lunch with the other employees. he approached Carlos who was sitting on a chair reading a document.

"You said you were leaving this afternoon." Alex sat in the front seat opposite Carlos.

"I\'ll be leaving at about two o\'clock later," said Carlos, still focused on his documents.

Alex fell silent for a moment with his chest feeling tight with his heart pounding because of the attack in his heart. \'Why? Why would he leave so close to my wife? Have they been...?\'

"Do you mind my decision to go away?" Carlos asked, interrupting Alex\'s thoughts.

"No, of course not," Alex replied with a smile and said, "you are the owner of this company, it\'s up to you what you want to do. I will replace your job because this is my job."

"Next time I will give you a day off so you can take a vacation with your wife and children. But for now, I need your help," Carlos exclaimed as he closed the document and then placed it on the dark brown table in front of him. He looked at Alex who was now silent again with a blank stare.

"I don\'t need a vacation," Alex said.

"Why?" Carlos asked.

"It\'s okay. I\'d rather work and be out of the house," Alex replied with honesty in his heart. He wanted to see how Carlos would respond.

"Why is that? That means you always leave your wife." Carlos frowned.

"Yes... Because even my wife always leaves the house. our son is lonely all the time, but sometimes I take him to Dean\'s house," Alex explained with a frown even though he was increasingly curious as to why Carlos said that he always left him. Lately, he rarely told him about his household.

"My wife has changed recently. I don\'t know why?"

"Maybe he needs something more from you," said Carlos, then took his smartphone from his pocket because it suddenly rang.

"Hello, honey, what\'s up?" Carlos asked when he had answered the call.

" .... "

"Ah, yes. Alright. I\'ll be there now," Carlos said then hung up the phone. He turned to look at Alex who had been staring at him for a long time. "Sorry, Alex. I have to go now."

"Go and have fun. I\'ll handle everything," Alex exclaimed with a smile and then stood up. He immediately left Carlos\' room to return to his room feeling furious and increasingly curious.

\'Who exactly is he going to meet? What my wife did mean. if true ....\' Alex thought so furiously that his hands were itching to punch something. He had already devised a plan to follow Carlos.

Bryana, Dany, and also Fin have arrived at the home page of a minimalist Indonesian style. The yellowish-white house looks simple, located in a not too crowded complex with a considerable distance from each house.

"Come in. Maybe my aunt is waiting because I told you that you were coming," said Fin pleasantly.

Bryana nodded, then walked after Fin to the main door of the house with Dany too.

Arriving in the living room, Bryana and Dany were invited to sit on an old green sofa complete with a glass table that also looked worn. She looked around the living room looking so quiet and there was not a single photo, painting, or wall decoration.

"Sorry if the place is not comfortable for you," said Fin.

"No. it\'s quite comfortable and the atmosphere here is also calm," said Bryana, glancing around the living room until she saw a girl with a typical Asian face who looked innocent and approached Fin who was still standing.

"Eh, this is my cousin, her name is Dina. She is the daughter of my aunt." Fin introduces the girl. The girl looked down at Bryana with a shy smile.

"Then where is your aunt?" Bryana asked.

"She was in the room by chance, she just fell asleep after taking medicine," explained the girl.

"May I see how she is for a moment?" Bryana asked, while Dany just stayed with a flat look listening to the conversation.

"Of course," said Fin. "Come follow me."

Bryana got up from the sofa and followed Fin while Dany remained seated.

before entering his aunt\'s room, Fin asked his cousin to make drinks and provide snacks as a meal for Bryana. He was as calm as his own family, or was it his aunt\'s house, or was it just a charade?
